Large Format Shooting

First Workshop

In the tutorial we planned to make the pumpkin the main subject with the mannequin behind out of focus. We lit both objects separately with two separate broncolor lights however we found that the light behind spilled too much light onto the backdrop and also the pumpkin at the front so we used two poly boards to separate the lights and also block light off the backdrop.

We also used another poly board to reflect light into the shadows of the objects so there wasn't too much difference in the light reading for highlights and shadows of the objects. (No more than 2/3 f stop difference between highlights and shadows)

Enviroment Shoot 2 - Portrait

The Florist

Took in Florists house where she runs her business from (Side Job) i wanted the colourful flowers to be the main focus within portraits, i also like how colourful the flowers were and this came through in the images. I like how the images show her working. If i had the chance to do this shoot again i would have shot another roll with more images focusing on the florist instead of the flowers.

Enviroment Shoot 1 - Portrait

The Flower Crown Business.

This shoot turned out more of a fashion type shoot choosing a woodland type area to shoot for my location. I feel the shoot went really well and i'm pleased with the outcome.

Evaluation on Shoot 1
Overall i think the shoot went very well and i am pleased with the images. Weather did become a problem towards the end of the shoot due to rain.
If i could have changed anything about the shoot i would have took digital test shots also.
